As an Aircraft Technician Weapons, you will be in charge of maintaining and managing weapons and explosives, making sure they’re ready at a moments notice. These include aircraft bombs, smart weapons, missiles, ammunition and individual weapons.
Arm aircraft with bombs, guided weapons, missiles
Take responsibility for the servicing, maintenance and repair of ejection seats, aircraft gun systems and missile launchers
Maintain, care and issue the weapons used by your station
Build and fit smart weapons and decoy flares to the aircraft

GCSE grade C/4 or Scottish National 5 grade C in English language, Mathematics and an approved Science/Technology-based subject

As an RAF Physical Training Instructor, you will lead fitness and training programs that keep RAF personnel in top shape.
You will play a pivotal role in making sure the Royal Air Force is ready to fly and fight at all times. You will deliver physical training programmes in the UK and overseas and you will be encouraged to find the best way to get results. In your role you will:
As an RAF Medic, you will provide essential medical support to personnel, responding to medical emergencies and providing airfield crash cover on stations in the UK, whilst on operations and also on exercises. RAF Medics can also train as paramedics, providing a full range of pre-hospital emergency care in military environments.
The RAF Medic is able to handle ambiguity, evaluate complex information and make evidence-based clinical decisions to promote and maintain patient welfare and safety. Typical responsibilities include:
Duty RAF Medics provide airfield medical crash cover and pre-hospital emergency care.
Manage receipt and storage of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals in medical stores, issuing of medications.
Maintain the electronic and paper medical records, monitoring the occupational health of Defence personnel.
Have GCSE Grade C/4 or Scottish National 5 Grade C in English Language and Maths/Application of Maths

Aircraft Technicians Survival Equipment maintain systems designed to save and preserve life; in flight, during emergencies, and in survival situations. This role is key in supporting aircrew and the operation of aircraft.
As an Aircraft Technician Survival Equipment, your role will involve maintaining and servicing essential equipment to ensure the safety and functionality of aircrew and passengers during flights. This includes tasks such as inspecting and repairing items like helmets, oxygen systems, life preservers, and night vision devices.
• You will also be responsible for the upkeep of survival equipment crucial for sustaining life in emergencies, such as personal locator beacons, emergency life rafts, survival packs, parachute assemblies, and restraint harnesses.
• You will support military parachute operations and airborne forces training globally by maintaining parachute systems for personnel and equipment.
• You will provide survival equipment for training, assist in trials, and offer engineering support to survival instructors on the proper handling, operation, and transportation of equipment.
• Your responsibilities may also include evaluating, testing, and integrating new clothing and equipment, assessing modifications, and reviewing equipment upgrades before their implementation.

As a member of the RAF Police, you will conduct criminal and security investigations. As specialists in Aviation Security, Counter Intelligence, Protective Security, Law Enforcement, Military Working Dogs, Information and Cyber Security, the RAF Police plays a critical role enabling airpower operations globally.
You’ll play a critical role in enabling airpower operations both in the UK, and on operations globally, by providing a broad spectrum of Security and Law enforcement capabilities. You will run criminal and security investigations alongside counter intelligence and protective security activities. In your role you will carry out:
Security activities, including cyber and Information security, counter-intelligence, security risk management and airport security
Operational threat assessments and advice
Personnel security such as security education, vetting and screening
Investigations including digital forensics, crime scene examination, criminal intelligence, child support and domestic violence support and surveillance
RAF police dog handling duties including protection dogs and detection dogs

Have GCSE at Grade C/4-5 or Scottish National 5 at grade C in English Language
You can apply for this role with a provisional UK driving licence but must hold a full manual UK driving licence before being allocated to recruit training. An automatic-only driving licence will not be accepted.

As a Communications Infrastructure Technician you will provide communication for the RAF’s digital infrastructure ecosystem by installing and maintaining essential fibre optic and data communication cables, radome structures and antenna masts working at height or in secure operation rooms.
Ensure that the RAF remains at the forefront of a progressive cyber engineering industry
Repair, maintain and recover communication equipment
Investigate and fix faults with antenna systems, fibre optic and data communication cables
Assemble and install communication infrastructure such as antenna masts, fibre optic cables and radome installation structures
Be aged 16 – 47 years old (Must attest before 48th birthday)
As a minimum, you need GCSEs at grade C/4 or Scottish National 5 at grade C in English Language and Mathematics/Application of Mathematics.
Must complete a specialist interview which includes a climbing aptitude test at RAF Digby, Lincolnshire

As an RAF Firefighter you will provide 24/7 fire and crash rescue protection. You will be organised and trained to respond to any emergency with highly specialised equipment like powerful cutting tools.
RAF Firefighters provide a deployable Aerodrome & Rescue Firefighting capability to Defence in the UK and overseas. You could:
Play a role in Air Operations when deployed in the UK or Overseas
Work as part of a close-knit team, deployable on short-notice to any location world-wide
Resolve incidents involving aircraft, buildings, hazardous substances and incidents caused by hostile activities
