Accounting & Outsourcing at Forvis Mazars
Our AOS Rotational Programme offers early careers apprentices the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a range of accounting and outsourcing services. You'll rotate through specialist teams, working with clients from sectors including financial services, healthcare, large international groups, and privately owned businesses. You'll be part of a strong team operating across five UK offices, with access to a wider network of over 300 professionals in our Accounting and Outsourcing service line. This programme is designed to build your technical expertise, client relationship skills, and understanding of global finance operations.

This rotation gives you broad exposure to different areas of the AOS service line. About the role
As an Associate Client Advisor Apprentice on our Accounts & Outsourcing Services Rotational Programme, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of UK and international clients. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of accounting disciplines, including statutory accounts, management accounts, VAT, payroll, and personal tax, while developing your technical and professional skills. The role of a company secretary is to ensure accurate and timely statutory compliance and corporate governance for a range of UK and international clients. You will be the point of contact for a portfolio of clients, providing high quality advice and work with other teams to deliver an excellent client experience.

About the Tax Dispute Resolution team
As a Tax Disputes and Resolution trainee, you will play a crucial role in supporting the senior members of staff with a variety of disputes between our clients and HMRC, covering compliance checks, complex and high-stakes enquiries, information requests or litigation work. The disputes world is a challenging and ever-changing environment which requires an inquisitive mind, critical thinking, and having a problem-solving attitude
To work in tax disputes, you will require a high level of written work and a willingness to research technical matters in tax legislation and HMRC guidance. Working in our team, you will gain a range of experience within every sector of tax, ranging from personal tax matters of individuals to corporation tax and to VAT, putting your exam knowledge into real-world context day to day. Your role will be diverse with no two days being the same, but you will also get all the help and client exposure you need to grow into a professional tax advisor, advance your career, and learn how to navigate enquiry and disclosure work.

Forvis Mazars helps businesses plan for VAT before setting out on a new venture including setting up overseas, buying or selling a property or raising finances. As a Trainee Tax Adviser you will be supported on a varied development program, working across multiple specialisms in order to be able to meet the full needs of our clients. You will work within the national private client tax team and alongside colleagues in the Financial Planning and Privately Owned Business teams to give a full private client experience and ensure all our clients' tax and financial planning needs are met. You will be provided an opportunity to work with colleagues in different tax disciplines in your first two years, including tax assurance, UK and international tax advisory and trusts and estates, resulting in a broad understanding of the services we can offer our Private Clients. About the Audit Industry & Services team
The Industry & Services team provides audit services to companies of varying sizes, from FTSE 350 companies, to companies with turnover of over £3bn, to smaller, privately-owned companies. The entities we audit range from manufacturing, transport, energy and utilities to those of a more services nature such as media, retail, professional services and technology. Recent UK government audit reform has created huge opportunities for our Industry & Services team. About the Mid-Markets team
Our Mid-Markets team's client base is made up of privately owned businesses. At Forvis Mazars, we passionately support privately owned businesses in achieving their goals. In the UK, we work with over 13,000 of them. About the role
As an apprentice here's what will await you during your four-year training contract:
Years 1 and 2:
Years 3 and 4:
As you progress, you'll take on increasingly complex audit work, such as; revenue recognition, valuation, and risk assessments. You'll also take ownership of audit engagements by taking a leading role in their delivery. You'll mentor new and more junior team members, helping them to settle in and flourish. You're joining us as a permanent employee, so the 3 years is only the beginning of your exceptional career journey at Forvis Mazars.
