Our 18-24 month programme can be based at ACABL at Gatwick or at Arbuthnot Latham's office in London and is designed to provide you with the skills and experience to help you progress your career and contribute to ACABL’s continuing success. It will be delivered through on-the-job learning aligned to your level 6 Apprenticeship course, and will provide overviews from other parts of the Business as well as exposure to senior leaders and opportunities to work on projects. On successful completion of the programme, your training, experience and your Level 6 external qualification will set you with excellent career prospects.
The programme is designed for students completing A level or equivalent education in 2025 or 2026 looking for their first professional role.

The Role
Based either in London or ACABL's head office in Gatwick, the role will primarily focus on providing proactive support to the ACABL Underwriting and Portfolio Teams.
The Apprentice will support the team with:

Customer Due Diligence checks
-
Organisation of, and minute taking at, Internal Sightings & Credit Committee (“ICC”) Meetings

Portfolio administrative tasks
Key Responsibilities
-
Attend daily ICC discussions, learn about ABL, and with experience and training, prepare detailed and accurate minutes reflecting the outcome.

Support the Underwriting team in preparing high quality credit papers for proposed transactions for submission to ICC.

Follow AML / CDD procedures, preparing Risk Assessments, Search Lists and Onboarding Checklists together with required level of due diligence to enable the successful onboarding of new clients.

Prepare fresh searches and due diligence for all new client directors.

Ensure policies & procedures are followed and maintain good records.
-
Liaise with Arbuthnot Latham Credit and Compliance teams as required.

Visit prospects as required. Prepare visit reports as necessary.

Recognise and report compliance breaches, errors, and potential frauds.

Always present a positive image of ACABL.

Study for the Level 6 Financial Services Commercial Chartered Banker Institute 18-month programme.
